We all want the freedom to enjoy the good things in life. For me that means kayaking, skiing and the great outdoors. For you, it might be a love affair with Italy. Fine dining and nights at the opera. Or a weekender down the coast. It’s about your lifestyle – now and in the future. That’s why I don’t just talk about financial planning. I talk about lifestyle planning.

Creating your personal
FINANCIAL PLAN

Obviously, there isn’t a “one plan fits all solution”. Your personal wealth plan will vary depending on your age, your family situation, your goals and even your emotions – how you feel about money. The important thing is to have a plan, one that insulates you against making poor decisions based on short-term changes in the financial scene. And one that will let you enjoy life now, and in the future.

A successful lifestyle plan will:

Identify

Identify your current situation and real needs for the future

Manage

Manage your existing finances to keep more of  your money.

Align

Identify opportunities that align with your future needs and values.

Review

Manage the day-to-day operations of those opportunities and review your situation at appropriate intervals

Our experience in business and personal planning over more than 20 years means we can establish the direction you need to take to get more of what you want out of life.

Lifestyle plans
IN ACTION

Want some real-life examples? Here are a couple of case histories to show you what we’re talking about.

Setting up children for life

Paul and Liz were referred to us to help find a property in Melbourne for their three daughters to live in while they attended university. We found the appropriate property which would fill the short term needs and be a good long-term investment which it has proven to be. Just as importantly, we developed a plan to enable their daughters to each own a new investment property by their mid-20s. “Seeing our children implement a plan for their future security gives us peace of mind,” Paul and Liz said.

Budgeting for family living

Mark and Joy brought two families together. With a total of six children they had to purchase a rather large home. As time went on they needed to do the normal things like replacing cars and paying school fees. And holidays for eight people don’t come cheap. After looking at their financial structure we were able to save them $1400 per month in interest, which allowed them to purchase an investment property and pay $1000 per month extra off their home loan. They just didn’t know how to do things better.

Of course, everyone’s different. We tailor a plan to suit your situation and aims.

Financial planning
MADE EASY

After you contact us, here's what happens next

Free first meeting

At our first meeting in your home or workplace we talk your lifestyle needs. We look at your current financial situation, your family and your priorities. At this point we compile a summary of your assets, debts, current income and current spending. This meeting is free.

Developing your plan

Then it’s decision time. You decide whether you want us to help you. We decide whether we can deliver what you need. Once we get your go-ahead, we’ll identify a number of options to present to you. These could include budget planning, real estate, shares, managed funds, self-managed super funds or property co-development or other wealth-creation plans.

Presenting your plan

There’s a charge of $295 for our second meeting. It’s when we present you with the options we feel best suit your needs, discuss them with you and make a final recommendation. We’ll also tell you upfront what our fees will be to put your plan into operation. If you’re happy to proceed, you then retain WellSpring to act on your behalf.

Activating your plan

We then put your approved plan into operation and charge you the agreed fee for service. Depending on the plan, we may also receive some income from commissions or brokerage fees. But we don’t stop there. Once your plan is up and running, we conduct an annual review free of charge, and advise you on any adjustments we believe will be to your benefit.
